Or lots of us using real mail clients are just tired of complaining.
Gmail (a) top posts by default and (b) posts HTML.  Both of which are
annoying, but for the most part I've just given up.

And gmail users tend to view gmail as the cannon of e-mail correctness,
so now suddenly every other client is deficient.
